What I’m Reading

Reading is THE perfect escape. There is something about reading a great novel, a sassy short story or a page-turning thriller that just releases you from the norm. My best friend Lindsey was and is still my inspiration for keeping up with the latest and greatest reads. When we entered our first year of college, she off to Colorado (by way of Central, CA) and I to Seattle, we decided that a pen-pal friendship would be the only way to survive. Being the nerds we were, we also decided this would involve sending a book diary back and forth between us. This book grew and grew with thoughts and commentary on books we were reading. It was also shipped back to the friend with a newly finished book for the other to read. Needless to say, this was a brilliant idea that only lasted a year or so.

In an effort to bring back a similar critique, and this time welcome others to chime in, I thought it would be fun to have a section of the blog contributed to great (or not so great) books and stories I have read. I welcome all your thoughts and critique too!

  1. I just found that notebook today! I will send it off as soon as I can! It has been way too long. Anyways the new Dennis Lehane comes out in Nov. which is super exciting. Books I’ve loved recently: The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, Mountains Beyond Mountains and the mystery series by Tana French. Love you!
